"The astounding variety and strange beauty found in the natural world humbles me and makes me realize that I am only part of this magnificent puzzle of life.  Many of my inspirations come from the beauty of this world and realizing its transience.  Inspirations are found in simple interactions with friends, family, acquaintances and conversations that spark visual stories mythical or real.  My paintings have involved everything from sea creatures, tropics to symbolism and design motifs of eastern influences.  They encompass  ideas of joy, beauty, change and wisdom we gain with each passing day.  For the viewer I hope my work helps to open up the magic found in so many areas of our everyday lives if we are willing to see."
